Veterans Village
Veterans Village in Ben Lomond is a new permanent supportive housing (PSH) site for homeless veterans. The property includes 21 furnished cabins and 1 4 bedroom house and aims to provide stable housing and a supportive community.
Services
Offers On-Site Support Services: Residents will have access to mental health services, substance abuse counseling, job and computer training, and case management.
Promotes Self-Sufficiency and Community: The village-style setting fosters a close-knit veteran community with support from local organizations like Grey Bears, which delivers groceries and essentials.
Uses HUD-VASH Vouchers: All residents will have HUD-VASH vouchers to subsidize rent.
Collaborates with the Community: The project is a joint effort by veterans’ groups, local officials, and organizations such as Housing Matters, which provides pre-screened applicants.
